Il Casale del Barone
Casale del Barone is a "real" holiday farm, located in a pristine environment, inside a farm with organic production, in which they breed cattle, sheep, pigs and farmyard animals. It is near the ancient and charming center of Mercatello sul Metauro, placed at the foot of Massa Trabaria, the part of the Apennines which marks the border between the Marche, Tuscany and Umbria. The ancient rural stone house, dating back to the fourteenth century, has been completely renovated, largely employing the original materials and using modetechniques of green building. The guests have access to a swimming pool, a bowling green and an area for archery, and may test the fabulous local cuisine, made with produce of the farm itself.

Il Casale has 3 apartments:
Terra: double bedroom, bathroom and a large Kitchen. 2+2
Sole: 2 double bedrooms, 2 bedrooms with bunk beds, 2 bathrooms and a large kitchen with a big fireplace and a wood-burning oven. 4+4
Suite: apartment with a private entrance through a bridge, kitchen with sofà bed, bathroom with hydromassagge shower, bedroom with four poster bed. Posti 2+2
Restaurant: The dishes served in the small restaurant of the farmhouse are strongly linked to the local tradition and are prepared using mainly ingredients coming from the farm itself.
Bread, pasta (noodles and many other types), the "crescia", the pizza in the oven, are homemade. Also meat and vegetables come from the farm. There are also other produce such as jams, tomato sauce, grappas, and more.

Surroundings
The holiday farm "Il Casale del Barone" is located in the Marche, in the province of Pesaro e Urbino, in the municipality of Mercatello Metauro, a short distance from the Renaissance city of Urbino and the borders of Umbria and Tuscany. It is placed at an altitude of 550 metres, in a panoramic position, between meadows and woods. Mercatello sul Metauro since 2002 has been awarded the "Bandiera Arancione" (the Orange Flag) by the Italian Touring Club.
